Universal Tempered Glass ( UTG ) , a member of  Daaboul Industrial Group (DIG), is a pioneer company in Syria in the field of architectural and industrial applications.  In 1997, UTG started its operations as a manufacturer of double glazing glass and later in 1999, tempered glass line was added. 

Producing this type of glass, which enjoys superior mechanical and thermal advantages , has completed the already-existing Aluminum extrusion plant represented by Madar, the sister company in the DIG group .

Since then , UTG has figured out the increasing international demand for glass, thus the company engaged itself in producing different glass types, such as insulating glass, heat-strengthened glass, laminated glass, sandblasted glass, spider systems and art fusing glass ; which are all used in the fields of construction , decoration & industry .

UTG has a unique network of agents and distributors through whom it provides complete cladding systems which consist of glass and aluminum .

UTG had performed several successful projects using various integrated & sophisticated systems of glass & aluminum , so it became highly reputable and distinguished not only in the Syrian market, but also in Middle Eastern markets.  UTG’s systems have given a new touch of beauty and have greatly helped in supporting the national economy.

Facts and Numbers

• UTG owns an Austrian automated cutting line , an automated line for producing insulating glass and a line for producing tempered glass are of an Finnish origin ,  Whereas all other machines and equipment are of an Italian origin.
• UTG has over than 150 employees.
• Yearly production capacity : 500,000 square meters of tempered glass and 200,000 square meters of insulating glass.  This capacity will increase with the addition of new production lines and machines.
• The type of raw glass used in manufacturing processes is purchased from several international leading European, Saudi Arabian , and American companies.         The sheets of annealed glass stored in UTG’s warehouses , are later manufactured as per customer's needs and requests.
• Annual growth rate : 15%.

Maintenance

UTG has a specialized highly-educated mechanical and electrical maintenance team,  who professionally works according to precise schedules.  This team closely follows the guiding manuals of the highly sophisticated European machines available at the company.  Since the guiding manuals are not written in arabic , a special party of the maintenance department has undertaken the task to translate these manuals . With the help of native experts, UTG continuously provides special training to all technicians , either locally or through delegating them abroad to attend special classes at the manufacturing companies.

Customer Services

Since taking care of all customers’ needs is a priority for UTG, a special dedicated team from the sales department has been assigned to fulfill this job.  This team arranges periodical visits to customers to offer them newer services and to get their opinion and suggestions which greatly help in developing the business.  The team also follows up daily orders, arranges & ensures punctual delivery, and contacts the quality control department in case of any problems related to production.
